Why you don’t need to panic about your garden lawn

It’s easy to think that you have lost a lawn. Even when it’s parched or it’s gotten too long the worry is that the whole thing is about to die. However, the thing about grass is it’s a stayer, it’s a survivor it never knows when it’s beat. Grass is one of the most hardiest plants on the planet and to tame it you need to have a decent mower. This is why having some Mountfield Parts for a bit of DIY Spare Parts maintenance doesn’t go amiss.

Not all of what we think we know about grass is true. For example it’s a myth to think that if you cut grass really short it’s going to take longer to grow back. In fact it’s quite the opposite. If you remember we said that grass was very hardy, well when you cut it short it goes crazy trying to grow back as quick as it can. Also when you see it brown it’s not actually dead. It’s just biding its time waiting for better conditions to come along so that it can start growing again.

Lawns need watering every day. Another misconception. Grass is very good at retaining moisture. Whilst it might need a bit of a helping hand at the start when it is first laid you can pretty much leave it to its own devices. Grass is a very low maintenance plant. Let nature take its course and the odd cut now and again will do the trick.
