Tips for blending your essential oils

When it comes to blending together your favourite essential oils or perhaps combining them with a carrier oil or lotion it can be a tense and scary time, trying to figure out how much of each oil to use and which ones to blend together. However, it is also an exciting time as you develop your own favourite blends to use in your everyday life.

Here are some tips to help you when it comes to blending essential oils.

  • Using high quality oils – when it comes to selecting your oils you should ensure that you use a reputable company such as Quinessence to make sure that you have the highest quality products available. High quality oils will often be stronger than those of lower quality meaning that you will need to use less of each oil and in the long term this presents a cost saving as the oils last longer.

Before your select your oil fragrances you should ask yourself a number of questions about your oil blend such as who is the blend for, what do you want the blend to do for you, when will it be used and how will it be applied or diffused? The answers to these questions may bring some oils to the forefront of your mind and may also remove some from your list.
