This is a funny one as exercise is somewhat of a paradox. You might feel too tired to do a workout and yes, muscles will feel tired but exercise leaves you feeling more energized. Exercise increases blood flow, gets your heart pumping more oxygen to the brain and other muscles, while helping the brain to release feel-good neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and endorphins. For busy working people and those with children, the commutes and responsibilities of work and home life can often make us feel like there isn’t s pare second in the day. Exercise gets bumped down the list of priorities. One way to help is to adjust the mindset. Instead of trying to ‘find’ time, think how you can ‘make’ time. A little activity is far better than none, so make some time that’s little and often., perhaps before or after work, at weekends or during a lunch break. Start with a simple 10-minute chunk and see if you can increase it by a minute the following week. Perhaps make exercise a part of any fun activities you do with your children.

For some people, losing weight or general health isn’t motivation enough to get out of the house and into the gym.
